The Alumni Association of the Maronite Patriarchal Seminary expressed "its sadness at the degradation in thought and expression reached by some sick souls, whereby they allowed themselves to overthrow taboos, undermine the primary spiritual authority, and stir up national feelings, at a time when citizens are in dire need of cohesion in facing challenges."
The Association reminded, in a statement, that "Bkerke is the foundation of the Lebanese temple, and its master is its guardian, entrusted with its glory, and the devils of hell will not prevail against him."
