President Aoun: No Turning Back from Negotiations... and a Call to Parties!
President Joseph Aoun emphasized the need to strengthen national unity and not allow anything to negatively affect it, while confirming that there is no turning back from the negotiation path.

President of the Republic Joseph Aoun indicated that "the current situation is delicate and requires all of us to strengthen national unity and not allow anything that negatively affects it."
Aoun said, in a statement before a delegation of the "Strong Republic" bloc headed by Deputy Strida Geagea: "With our national decision and unity, we can face all challenges, and all the fabricated negative atmospheres about sedition in Lebanon have no roots, and I personally have vowed not to respond to unjustified insults and criticism, because they do not even reflect the environment from which they emanate."

He continued: "The most important thing that Lebanese parties and currents can do is to rally around the army, security institutions, and state institutions, which form the basis of the nation's existence."
Regarding the negotiation path, Aoun indicated that "there are expected preparatory talks with Lebanon's ambassador to Washington in the coming days, which is the third meeting that will pave the way for the start of negotiations, which are under American sponsorship, and this is an important achievement for Lebanon, which enjoys personal attention from US President Donald Trump, and this is a great opportunity for Lebanon that we must benefit from."
He stressed that "we are ready to accelerate the pace of negotiations as much as the United States is working on, and in the end, there is no turning back from the negotiation path because there is no other option before us, and it serves all Lebanese, and does not target any segment or group, as suffering affects everyone without exception, and all Lebanese have grown tired of wars and their catastrophic results," noting that "the objectives set in any negotiation path are based on the Israeli withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories and the return of prisoners, which are the rights that Lebanon has been demanding for years."
