Trump's China Trip to Include Musk, Apple, Boeing CEOs
Elon Musk and the CEOs of Apple, Boeing, and other major US firms will join President Trump on his visit to China this week, a White House official said.

Elon Musk, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg, and GE Aerospace CEO Larry Culp are among the business leaders set to accompany US President Donald Trump on his trip to China this week, according to a White House official who spoke to Reuters.
The official listed other participants as well: Dina Powell McCormick of Meta, Larry Fink of BlackRock, Stephen Schwarzman of Blackstone, Chuck Robbins of Cisco, Sanjay Mehrotra of Micron, Michael Miebach of Mastercard, Cristiano Amon of Qualcomm, and Ryan McInerney of Visa.
Boeing's Long-Awaited Deal
Ortberg told Reuters in April that Boeing is counting on the Trump administration to help secure a major, long-pending order from China. Sources in the aircraft industry say the Chinese government and the US planemaker have been in prolonged talks over a potential agreement that could involve 500 Boeing 737 Max jets, plus dozens of wide-body aircraft powered by GE Aerospace engines.
If finalized, this would mark China's first major purchase from Boeing since 2017. Any announcement of such a deal would be a significant win for the summit between the two presidents and could represent the largest single aircraft order in aviation history.
Nvidia CEO Not Joining
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will not be part of the delegation traveling to Beijing, a source familiar with the matter said on Monday. The source added that Huang did not receive an invitation, as the White House is focusing more on agriculture and commercial aviation matters, such as Boeing aircraft orders, during this visit. The White House has not yet responded to a request for comment.
