Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy Issues New Warning to Ships and Vessels Intending to Cross the Strait of Hormuz
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy issued a new warning on Tuesday evening to all ships and vessels intending to cross the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the only safe passage is the one previously announced by the Iranian Navy.

The command of the naval force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard issued, on Tuesday evening, a new warning to all ships and vessels intending to cross the Strait of Hormuz.
The naval force of the Revolutionary Guard said in the statement: "We warn all ships intending to cross the strait, the only safe passage for crossing the Strait of Hormuz is the corridor previously announced by the Iranian Navy."
It confirmed that diverting ships to other routes is unsafe and will face a decisive response from the navy of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Iran also issued a new warning to international marine insurance companies, ship owners, and cargo owners, calling on them not to be drawn into American statements and not to allow the costs of those statements to come out of their own pockets.
An informed source confirmed that the only approved and usable navigational routes in the Strait of Hormuz are those determined by Iranian navigation, denying that Iran bears any responsibility for ensuring the safe passage of ships on any other routes.
The warning went further, announcing that Iran's responsibility for the security of any ship that does not obtain a transit permit from Tehran falls immediately upon starting that ship's engine and moving towards the strait.
The source stressed that obtaining an Iranian permit is a non-negotiable condition for crossing the Strait of Hormuz, warning that any incident occurring to an unlicensed ship will inevitably lead to disruptions in the strait and serious environmental possibilities, and that Iran will demand full compensation from ship and cargo owners for any disruption or environmental damage that may result from that.
In the same context, the British newspaper "The Guardian" reported a few hours ago, quoting ship owners, confirming that no ship would dare to sail in the Strait of Hormuz area without obtaining prior permission from Tehran.
This new Iranian warning came less than 48 hours after US President Donald Trump announced the launch of Operation "Freedom Project" in the Strait of Hormuz aimed at ensuring freedom of navigation and the safe exit of ships from the strait.
Trump threatened to respond forcefully if this humanitarian operation faced any form of interference.
For his part, the commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters in Iran, Ali Abdollahi, warned American forces against approaching the Strait of Hormuz, confirming that the Iranian army is ready to attack them and prevent them from entering the strait.
