Israeli Army spokesperson Ella Waweya wrote on the "X" platform: "As part of the IDF forces' activity in the area of Yaroun village in southern Lebanon, the forces are working to remove threats and destroy terrorist infrastructure established by Hezbollah in the area."
She added: "After verifying the matter, it became clear that as part of the forces' activities to destroy terrorist infrastructure, one of the houses located in a religious complex in the area was damaged, which had no features indicating it was a religious building. And after identifying clear features on another building in the complex, the forces worked to prevent further damage to the complex. It is confirmed that during the war, it became evident that the terrorist Hezbollah had launched rockets multiple times from inside the complex towards Israeli territory, which was the reason for the forces' operation near it, for the purpose of removing threats and destroying terrorist infrastructure belonging to the terrorist Hezbollah."
She continued: "The IDF is keen on destroying the terrorist infrastructure established by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, and has no intention of striking civilian infrastructure and religious buildings like the aforementioned building. The IDF forces continue their operations south of the forward defense line with the aim of removing threats from the citizens of the State of Israel."
