A delegation from the 'Independent Consultative' bloc, including MPs Ibrahim Kanaan, Alain Aoun, and Simon Abi Ramia, visited the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi in Bkerki. Kanaan said after the meeting that solidarity with the Patriarch is solidarity with Lebanon and all components of the Lebanese people.
A delegation from the 'Independent Consultative' bloc, including MPs: Ibrahim Kanaan, Alain Aoun, and Simon Abi Ramia, visited the Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi in Bkerki.
Kanaan said after the meeting that "solidarity with our lord the Patriarch is solidarity with Lebanon and all components of the Lebanese people because he embodies the history of the founding of Lebanon and its national constants."
He pointed out that "the neutrality that the Patriarch calls for is against evil and violence and against turning Lebanon into a arena for conflict over land and honor."
He asked: "Where is the mistake if we negotiate at the table about our country and our rights, which are defended by the President of the Republic, the government, and the army?"
