The Ministry of Education announced in a statement that, "Based on the Council of Ministers' decision approving exceptionally the request of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to disburse the dues of contracts for contracted teachers under their various titles and employees in public schools, secondary schools, and institutes for the period of forced closure until the end of the aggression and safe return, and until the law submitted in the Parliament for the same purpose is enacted, Minister Rima Karami contacted donors to secure the required amounts to cover the dues of the hired personnel, mechanization workers, and guards in public schools and secondary schools. She was able to obtain the required amounts from UNICEF, which promptly requested lists of names of these individuals from the Ministry. Accordingly, these dues will be disbursed as soon as the necessary procedures are completed."
