President Joseph Aoun called UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to discuss regional developments and the Lebanese-American-Israeli talks in Washington.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun placed a phone call to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which he reviewed the current situation in Lebanon and the region in light of recent developments. Aoun affirmed the solidarity of the Lebanese people with their Emirati counterparts during these delicate regional circumstances.
The Lebanese head of state briefed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed on the latest updates concerning the Lebanese-American-Israeli negotiations currently taking place in Washington.
The UAE President thanked Aoun for his gesture, reiterating that the Emirates consistently stands by Lebanon and its people, particularly during the current critical phase. He also voiced support for the steps Lebanon is taking to achieve security and stability and to restore its sovereignty over all its territory.
