Apple adds four languages to Siri AI in iOS 27.3 beta

Apple has broadened the linguistic reach of its enhanced voice assistant by introducing support for four new artificial intelligence languages in the first developer beta of iOS 27.3. This update targets a wider global user base by integrating these capabilities into the redesigned Siri experience.

New languages added to Siri

According to reports from 9to5Mac, the latest expansion includes Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish, and Vietnamese. These additions bring the total count of languages supported by Siri’s AI features to ten, marking a significant step in the company’s effort to localize advanced digital assistance.

The move follows a rapid pace of development initiated with the previous week’s release of iOS 27.2. That update introduced five additional languages—French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish—to the assistant’s repertoire. Initially, such AI-driven functionalities were restricted exclusively to English users.

Expanded developer tools and features

Beyond language localization, the iOS 27.3 beta introduces functional enhancements allowing Siri to execute specific actions directly within applications. The update also debuts a feature named “Siri Recap,” designed to summarize information or interactions for the user.

Apple is simultaneously providing developers with an expanded suite of tools to integrate the voice assistant’s proprietary AI technologies into their own software ecosystems. This strategy aims to deepen the utility of Siri across various third-party platforms.

The current version remains available only as a beta build for testing purposes. Apple plans to roll out the full iOS 27.3 update to all compatible devices next month.
