Google Expands Gemini Spark AI Assistant Access to More Subscribers

Subscribers to Google AI Pro and Ultra plans will now have broader access to Gemini Spark, the agentic AI assistant introduced at this year’s I/O developer conference. However, this expansion excludes free-tier users.

In the United States, all users paying $20 per month for Google AI Pro can now use Spark. Globally, it is also being made available to Google AI Ultra subscribers, whose monthly fees range from $100 to $200, except for those located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Nigeria.

The rollout invites eligible users to verify whether Spark supports their local language. Powered by Gemini 3.5, Spark is closely integrated into Google’s Workspace applications.

Users can access Spark through the sidebar on desktop or via the menu option on mobile devices. Once on the Spark page, they can input tasks for the assistant. Examples include instructing Spark to review emails and calendar events each morning and highlight priorities.

Spark can also generate draft replies automatically for emails from specific contacts and condense long email threads into summaries. Additionally, it can produce comprehensive reports in Google Docs based on meeting notes and emails.
