OpenClaw Launches Mobile App for Android and iOS Users
OpenClaw, the open source AI agent, is now accessible on iOS and Android through a dedicated app connecting users to AI tools via the OpenClaw Gateway.

OpenClaw, the free and open source AI agent that gained widespread attention earlier this year, has been released as a mobile application for both iOS and Android devices. The announcement was made on X on Tuesday.
Users can link their smartphones to the OpenClaw Gateway, a routing layer designed to connect user requests with AI agents and the various tools and capabilities those agents utilize to accomplish tasks.
This development allows individuals to operate their OpenClaw agents directly from their mobile devices. Depending on how the agents are programmed, they can assist with a range of activities. OpenClaw has been applied to tasks such as coding and meal planning, although some users have experienced mixed outcomes.
Earlier this year, OpenClaw became viral in conjunction with the launch of MoltBook, a social media platform claimed to be entirely run by AI agents. In February, Peter Steinberger, the creator of OpenClaw, disclosed that he had joined OpenAI.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the MoltBook event involved human actors impersonating AI agents, serving as a form of marketing for OpenClaw despite questions about its authenticity. Nevertheless, this event highlighted the growing presence of AI agents, which continue to expand across the AI ecosystem and are increasingly integrated into mobile devices.
