Recent data reveals that remittance inflows exceeded $43 billion over an 11-month period, supported by a significant rise in monthly performance.
Economic figures show a steady increase in foreign currency inflows from abroad, with the total remittances sent by Egyptian expatriates from July 2025 to May 2026—covering eleven months of the current fiscal year 2025/2026—amounting to approximately $43.1 billion.
This total represents a notable growth of 31.2% compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year 2024/2025, during which remittances reached about $32.8 billion, reflecting an increase exceeding $10 billion.
On a monthly basis, remittances maintained positive momentum, rising by 13.5% in May 2026 alone.
The monthly total reached around $3.9 billion in May 2026, compared to $3.4 billion in the corresponding month of 2025, demonstrating the ongoing strength and accelerating pace of financial inflows month after month.
