Spot gold fell 0.3 percent to $4,128.69 an ounce on Tuesday due to a stronger dollar and rising US Treasury yields.

Gold prices declined on Tuesday under pressure from a strengthening US dollar and higher yields on American Treasury bonds. Despite this downward force, the extent of the losses remained limited because market expectations for a Federal Reserve interest rate hike this month have softened.
In immediate spot trading, the metal dropped by 0.3 percent to reach $4,128.69 per ounce. This level was recorded at 0155 GMT. Meanwhile, US gold futures contracts shifted slightly upward to trade at $4,156.
