Saudi Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman announced that the Kingdom is currently pumping 5.8 million barrels of oil daily through the East-West pipeline, following weeks of attacks that temporarily halted operations.

Saudi Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman stated that the Kingdom is currently pumping 5.8 million barrels of oil daily through the "East-West" pipeline, after weeks during which the line was subjected to attacks that led to its temporary suspension.
This came in a speech by the minister during the "Made in the Gulf" conference, as reported by Saudi media outlets, including the economic newspaper "Mal" and "Okaz".
The minister said, "The directive is clear regarding the necessity of localizing everything related to energy within the Kingdom, because localization grants us flexibility and resilience."
He added that he is working on "merging energy and industrial systems," expecting the integration process between the systems to be completed by the end of next November.
He indicated that facilities in the industry, mining, and energy sectors will comprise at least 70 percent Saudis.
The announcement of pumping 5.8 million barrels daily via the "East-West" pipeline comes less than a month after it was subjected to attacks that led to its temporary closure.
