A staggering €90 million per season—that was the figure circulating in media reports over recent days, presented as an offer from Saudi club Al Hilal to Polish star Robert Lewandowski. The speculation suggested the Barcelona striker was nearing a move outside La Liga. However, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has dismissed these claims, insisting that no formal agreement has been reached.

According to Romano, Lewandowski's future remains tied to Barcelona's position. He noted that the player might continue with the Catalan side if offered a new contract extension. Yet, the same source indicated that this scenario is not currently under consideration within the club.

Serious Consideration of a Departure

Polish and Spanish reports have revealed that Lewandowski is now seriously contemplating a departure, particularly after his role diminished under German coach Hansi Flick this season. He no longer feels like the top star in the team's sporting project. According to these same sources, the veteran striker is not solely chasing a massive financial deal; he wants to join a project that grants him a pivotal role and leadership status, with the ability to compete for titles in the final phase of his career.

His agent, Pini Zahavi, has already discussed several offers during his recent stay in Barcelona, including proposals from Saudi Arabia, the American league, and some European clubs. Alongside Al Hilal, Lewandowski's name has been linked to teams like AC Milan, Juventus, and Porto, as well as interest from Chicago Fire in the United States.

Strong Numbers Despite Age

Despite being 37 years old, Lewandowski continues to deliver strong numbers for Barcelona. He has played 191 matches for the club, scoring 119 goals and providing 24 assists. He also played a key role in the team's multiple domestic title wins, most notably La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
