Barcelona is reportedly reigniting its pursuit of Villarreal midfielder Alberto Moleiro, with a €50 million release clause and a pre-existing agreement to negotiate, as the player dreams of wearing the Blaugrana shirt.

Barcelona has set its sights on Villarreal's attacking midfielder Alberto Moleiro, with Spanish media reporting the club is preparing a move during the upcoming summer transfer window. The Catalan giants have maintained a long-standing interest in the 21-year-old, who has impressed since his days at Las Palmas.
Journalist Alfredo Martinez, writing for the Spanish newspaper Sport, confirmed that Barcelona's admiration for Moleiro has not faded. "Barcelona hasn't forgotten Alberto Moleiro, the club is still interested in the player, there has been great admiration for him since his time at Las Palmas, and now his development at Villarreal is highly valued," Martinez stated.
The player's contract with Villarreal runs for three more seasons, but a €50 million release clause is written into his deal. Crucially, Martinez added that Villarreal has a commitment to negotiate specifically with Barcelona if a transfer is pursued. "His release clause is €50 million, with a commitment from Villarreal to negotiate with Barcelona specifically," he noted.
Moleiro himself is reportedly eager to make the switch. According to Martinez, the midfielder dreams of playing for Barcelona, and the club has recently made contact with his camp to explore the feasibility of a future deal. "The player dreams of playing for Barcelona, and the Spanish club recently contacted his entourage to find out the possibility of completing a potential transfer in the future," Martinez explained.
