Enrique Riquelme Accuses Florentino Pérez of Financing Barcelona and Concealing Negreira Case
Enrique Riquelme accuses Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez of funding Barcelona with 400 million euros and hiding the Negreira arbitration case.

Enrique Riquelme, a candidate for the presidency of Real Madrid, has leveled serious accusations against the current president, Florentino Pérez, alleging that he financially supported Barcelona during a severe economic crisis by providing 400 million euros and concealed the Negreira arbitration case.
Speaking on the program "El Món a RAC 1," Riquelme stated, "Florentino directly helped Barcelona when the club was in a collapsed state by funding it with 400 million euros."
Concealment of the Negreira Case
Riquelme accused Pérez of collaborating with Barcelona regarding the Negreira arbitration case, saying, "He extended a helping hand and hid the Negreira case, which caused significant harm to Real Madrid. Payments were made to Negreira to favor Barcelona. This is indisputable. Moreover, there was arbitration damage against Real Madrid."
Pérez Seeks Scapegoats
The businessman criticized Pérez sharply, claiming that he always looks for individuals outside the club to blame. He said, "I do not understand why he blames me. He always finds culprits: UEFA, FIFA, Barcelona... As a Madridista, it pains me that he mocks us."
Use of Club Media for Election Campaign
Riquelme also complained about the use of the club’s official channels to serve Florentino Pérez’s election campaign, stating, "What worries me is that all club media are being used for a personal campaign, while there are no proposals from the other side. Well, there is only one proposal: selling the club. The members have only received the election envelope of candidate Pérez."
Real Madrid Players’ Absence from the World Cup
He concluded by expressing his dissatisfaction with the weak representation of Real Madrid players in the Spanish national team participating in the World Cup, saying, "There are players in the Spanish team who are candidates to play for Real Madrid. It pains me that Spanish Real Madrid players are absent from the national team list participating in the World Cup."
