Reports have emerged revealing Julian Alvarez's initial response to Real Madrid's proposal, which was submitted to Atletico Madrid for the Argentine striker's transfer.

Real Madrid issued an official statement on its page a few days ago, announcing a bid of 150 million euros to acquire Julian Alvarez. Subsequently, Atletico Madrid declined the offer.

Alvarez is a primary target for Barcelona as they seek to strengthen their striker position following Robert Lewandowski's departure.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are also competing to sign Alvarez to bolster their squads ahead of the 2026/2027 season.

Real Madrid maintained silence after Atletico Madrid rejected their 150 million euro offer for Julian Alvarez on Tuesday. No further contact has been made with Atletico or the player's agents, while Atletico internally considers the offer inadequate.

The Catalan newspaper "Sport" reported that Julian Alvarez informed Barcelona's management that he will never transfer to Real Madrid.

According to the report, Alvarez's primary desire currently is to leave Atletico Madrid. His next step involves evaluating attractive offers from Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, though he wishes to play for Barcelona despite the difficulties involved in making that happen.

"Sport" also indicated that Julian Alvarez has requested a pause to concentrate on representing Argentina in the 2026 World Cup, showing great enthusiasm to compete in the prestigious international tournament wearing his national team's jersey.
