Manuel Neuer Set to Enter 2026 World Cup as Germany's Most Decorated Player with 35 Titles
Manuel Neuer returns to Germany's national team for the 2026 World Cup as the most successful German footballer, holding 35 professional titles.

Manuel Neuer is set to rejoin the German national team for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to start on June 11. The team will head to the Herzogenaurach training camp to prepare for the tournament.
Traveling with the German squad to the World Cup, Neuer holds the distinction of being the most successful German football player in history. After concluding his international career following the 2024 European Championship hosted in Germany, Bayern Munich captain Neuer was recalled by Germany’s head coach Julian Nagelsmann to guard the team’s goal due to his extensive experience.
By securing the Bundesliga and the German Cup titles against Stuttgart, Neuer, aged 40, has further extended his impressive trophy count, now totaling 35 professional titles.
Out of these 35 titles, Neuer has won 34 with Bayern Munich and one with the national team. His achievements with Bayern include two UEFA Champions League titles, 13 Bundesliga championships, seven German Cup victories, and two wins each in the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup. Additionally, Neuer was part of the German squad that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
With this dual accomplishment, Neuer has matched Thomas Müller’s record and surpassed Toni Kroos, who ended his career with 34 titles. Neuer now has the opportunity to set a new German record if he wins the upcoming World Cup, potentially becoming the sole holder of this achievement.
