Portuguese coach José Mourinho has communicated to Real Madrid's management that he does not intend to rely on a certain player for the next season, according to a Spanish media report.

The website "The Objective" reported on Wednesday that Mourinho, who is close to taking charge of the royal club if Florentino Pérez wins the presidency, informed the club's administration that Argentine player Franco Mastantuono, aged 18, will not be part of his project.

Mastantuono, who joined Real Madrid last summer from River Plate for 63.5 million euros, is considered one of the most prominent young signings made by the club in recent years, but he has not yet delivered the expected performance.

Real Madrid's Transfer Decisions

Mourinho does not favor giving Mastantuono another opportunity as he prepares to rebuild the team. The coach had previously expressed his desire to offload certain players but later partially withdrew from the idea of selling Federico Valverde, provided the player fully adheres to his instructions.

The future of Mastantuono remains undecided; Real Madrid may opt to loan or sell him during the upcoming summer transfer window due to the new coach's lack of confidence in the player.
