Italy head coach Roberto Mancini announced Moise Kean will return home due to injury before the Nations League match against Turkey.

Moise Kean is set to depart the Italy camp after sustaining an injury that prevents him from featuring in the upcoming Nations League fixture against Turkey. Head coach Roberto Mancini addressed the situation on Saturday evening, confirming the forward’s absence just one day before the scheduled match.
The Azzurri manager spoke to Sky Sport regarding the squad's status, noting that Kean has not recovered from a knock suffered during the previous game. "Moise is not well, he has not recovered and will return home this evening," Mancini stated. The player will now undergo further assessment by his club, Como, in the hours leading up to their next challenge against Roma.
With only a few days having passed since the team’s recent outing in Paris, Mancini indicated significant rotation within the starting eleven. "A lot of players, we are trying things out... so we will make a few more changes," he explained. This approach allows the coaching staff to evaluate different combinations while managing player fatigue across the tight schedule.
Regarding potential replacements in the forward line, Mancini suggested that Gianluca Scamacca could step into the role currently occupied by Pio Esposito. The coach noted that the tactical profile remains largely similar between the two options. "He could, yes, the characteristics do not change much, we have different solutions," Mancini said, highlighting the flexibility available within the attacking unit despite Kean’s withdrawal.
