Who Is Myckaela Lobianco? Meet Ederson’s Wife Before Man Utd Transfer
Manchester United are preparing to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson, who will relocate to Manchester with his wife Myckaela and their two children.

Manchester United are on the verge of acquiring midfielder Ederson from Atalanta, marking Michael Carrick's inaugural transfer as the club's permanent manager. The 26-year-old Brazilian is expected to join the squad this summer, accompanied by his wife Myckaela Lobianco and their two children.
Ederson's rise in European football has been rapid, progressing from a six-month stint at Salernitana to four impressive years at Atalanta. His performances in Serie A and the Champions League have caught the attention of United, who have quietly tracked his development over the past year while pursuing other transfer targets publicly.

Atalanta's president, Antonio Percassi, has shown increasing willingness to sell Ederson, whose contract will enter its final 12 months next month. The club's pursuit of the midfielder has been discreet, with Ederson poised to become the first new signing at Old Trafford this summer.
Myckaela Lobianco, Ederson's wife, maintains an active presence on Instagram with 11.8k followers, sharing moments from their family life including time spent with their son and daughter. The couple began dating in 2019, welcomed their first daughter Esther at the end of 2020, and married in 2021.
pon Esther's birth, Ederson shared an emotional message expressing joy and the life-changing experience of becoming a parent. Myckaela is also a fitness enthusiast and has collaborated with Ederson in establishing Silva Gym, named after his surname.
The family is not unfamiliar with England, having previously visited London where they toured Westminster and Buckingham Palace. Ederson first attracted United's interest after playing a key role in Atalanta's Europa League triumph in 2024, appearing 52 times and scoring seven goals that season.

United's interest in Ederson is supported by scouting reports highlighting his energy, tenacity, and goal-scoring capabilities. The transfer fee, reportedly around £42 million, aligns with United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe's financial criteria, especially considering Ederson's current salary of £25,000 per week in Italy, which would increase to £75,000 at Manchester United.

Michael Carrick's appointment as permanent manager accelerated the transfer process, with Carrick valuing Ederson's versatility. The midfielder is comfortable playing both defensive and advanced midfield roles and is not viewed as a direct replacement for Casemiro.
Ederson has expressed his ambition to compete in the Premier League, emphasizing his ball control and ability to play both defensively and offensively. His preferred squad number is 13, a number he chose at Atalanta partly because his wife was born on July 13. However, he may need to negotiate with Patrick Dorgu, who currently holds the No.13 shirt at Manchester United.

Internationally, Ederson has earned three caps for Brazil but was not selected for Carlo Ancelotti's World Cup squad, allowing him to participate fully in United's pre-season preparations. Maintaining his progress at one of football's biggest clubs could lead to a return to international duty.
