41,292 Traffic Violations Recorded in 21 Days!
Lebanese Internal Security Forces report over 41,000 traffic violations and thousands of vehicle impoundments between September 7 and 28, 2026.
The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
As part of the ongoing campaign to curb traffic violations, and pursuant to the decision by the Minister of Interior and Municipalities to reduce road accidents, preserve citizens' lives, and enhance traffic safety, units of the Internal Security Forces continue their field operations and intensify enforcement against violators.
In this context, the number of recorded violations from 07-09-2026 to 28-09-2026 reached /41292/ violations of various types, most notably: speeding, driving without license plates, failure to wear seatbelts, using mobile phones while driving, among others.
Additionally, /1396/ violating cars and /3320/ illegal motorcycles were impounded.
