Ambassador Maawad to Rubio: Your Commitment to Lebanon and Its Sovereignty Is Deeply Appreciated

Lebanese Ambassador to Washington, Nada Hamadeh Maawad, posted a photo on her "X" platform account showing her shaking hands with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during his reception of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji. She accompanied the post with the following statement:

"Grateful to Secretary Marco Rubio for his leadership, friendship, and support for Lebanon. Your commitment to Lebanon, its sovereignty, and its people is deeply appreciated."
