With the return of Ambassador Simon Karam, head of the Lebanese negotiating delegation, and Ambassador Michel Issa from Washington, the Baabda Palace is expected to host a meeting of the team tasked with following up on the negotiations, chaired by President Joseph Aoun, during which Ambassador Karam will provide a comprehensive briefing on the atmosphere of what took place during the first round of negotiations, and present details of the discussions that took place between the Lebanese and Israeli sides, in addition to an assessment of the political climate that accompanied the meetings, and a discussion of mechanisms for dealing with the next stage.
It was also learned that a series of meetings and visits will also be conducted by Ambassador Michel Issa, to a number of headquarters and leaderships, starting from Baabda.
