Lebanese President Joseph Aoun met with French Ambassador Patrick Doril to discuss strengthening bilateral ties, French investments in Lebanon's energy sector, and preventing a security vacuum in the south after UNIFIL withdrawal.
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received French Ambassador Patrick Doril and held a comprehensive review with him covering current local, regional, and international developments, as well as Lebanese-French relations and ways to strengthen them in all fields.
President Aoun emphasized the importance of the return of French companies to invest in Lebanon, including "TotalEnergies," which is responsible for oil and gas exploration in Lebanese maritime fields. Meanwhile, Ambassador Doril reiterated his country's commitment to working to prevent a vacuum in the south following the withdrawal of "UNIFIL" due to the negative repercussions of this issue.
