Aoun Signed the New Media Law

Minister of Information Bol Merhej announced after meeting with President Joseph Aoun at the presidential palace that "the President informed me he has signed the new media law, and we discussed potential amendments to reach the optimal formulation. I also briefed him on the ongoing coordination with parliamentary blocs to introduce further improvements to the law."

He added, "We discussed matters concerning the Ministry of Information, touching upon the operations of Télévision Libanaise and other media outlets."
