Aoun: Strict Enforcement of Laws, Ban on Armed Displays, and Confiscation of Weapons
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun chaired a security meeting at Baabda Palace, emphasizing strict law enforcement, the prohibition of armed displays, and the confiscation of weapons.

President of the Republic General Joseph Aoun chaired a security meeting at Baabda Palace.
President Aoun affirmed "the necessity of strictly enforcing laws, preventing armed displays, confiscating weapons and ammunition, expediting investigations, and referring violators to the competent judiciary to take necessary action," stressing that "the current stage requires careful monitoring of developments and the adoption of necessary proactive measures, in addition to blocking any exploitation of economic issues to turn them into breaches of security."
Aoun added: "There must be no leniency towards any attempt to breach security or undermine the country's stability. The current stage demands the highest levels of readiness and coordination between security and military agencies, continuous information exchange, and precise assessment of developments, free from any duplication of roles or conflict of authorities."
He requested "strengthening the presence of Internal Security Forces, General Security, and State Security in southern villages and towns not under Israeli occupation, to provide reassurance to residents and facilitate administrative services for them," praising the work of the army and security forces, their readiness, speed of response, and effectiveness in uncovering crimes, identifying perpetrators, pursuing them, and arresting them.
