Aoun: The State Will Lead Reconstruction
President Aoun affirmed Lebanon's gratitude for Canadian support in helping southern residents return to their villages and secure housing, particularly in areas destroyed by Israeli forces. He emphasized that reconstruction will be managed by the Lebanese state after Israeli forces withdraw and the army extends to international borders.

President of the Republic Joseph Aoun confirmed to Canadian Minister of International Development Randeep Sarai that "Lebanon welcomes Canadian support to assist southern residents in returning to their villages and securing housing, especially in villages and towns destroyed by Israelis," stressing that "reconstruction will be managed by the Lebanese state after Israeli forces withdraw and the army extends to international borders."
On his part, the Canadian minister stressed "his country's commitment to Lebanon's stability, enhancing economic cooperation between the two nations, and activating joint programs."
