Army Commander Discusses Developments with US Congress Members

Army Commander General Rodolphe Haikal received US Congress members Darin LaHood and Josh Gottheimer, along with their accompanying delegation, at his office in Yarzé. They reviewed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, discussed ways to overcome the difficulties and challenges facing the army in executing its assigned missions, and addressed the tasks carried out by the army across Lebanese territory.

During the meeting, Mr. LaHood appreciated the sacrifices of the military personnel, highlighting the importance of the army's role in maintaining security and stability in the country.

General Haikal also received South Governor Mansour Daou, who praised the cooperation between the army and the residents and its support for them amid current conditions.

Additionally, he received Elias Joseph Maroun, Secretary General of the American Lebanese Council (ALC), who affirmed the unity of the Lebanese diaspora around the military institution. In return, General Haikal commended efforts aimed at strengthening the relationship between Lebanese expatriates and their homeland.
