The Lebanese Army stopped armed individuals in Tripoli and seized large quantities of drugs in Baalbek, along with other operations across the country.

The following statement was issued by the Army Command - Guidance Directorate:

"On 5 /10 /2026, an armed incident occurred in the Al-Maloula area – Tripoli, involving gunfire. Following this, Army units conducted raids in the area and arrested 6 citizens who fired shots, seizing a quantity of weapons and war ammunition. Follow-up is underway to arrest the remaining perpetrators involved in the incident.


An Army unit raided a room used for manufacturing drugs in the town of Dar al-Wasi'a – Baalbek, seizing a large quantity of drugs, as well as raw materials for their production.
Another unit raided the homes of wanted individuals in the areas of Hayy al-Salam – Southern Suburbs and Qabb Elias – Bekaa, arresting 5 citizens and one Syrian for firing shots, and seized weapons, war ammunition, and a quantity of drugs, in addition to military equipment.
Other units also arrested 51 Syrians in the border area of Mashari' al-Qa'a – Hermel, for entering Lebanese territory illegally.
The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the detainees began under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
