In Zouk Mosbeh... Arrest of Two Wanted and Seizure of Nearly One Million Captagon Pills

After a security surveillance and monitoring operation, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate in the Zouk Mosbeh area – Keserwan arrested the two citizens (N.A.) and (L.A.) for engaging in drug trafficking and promoting counterfeit currency. During the arrest process, the first initiated gunfire at the patrol members, who responded in kind, leading to his injury and transfer to a hospital for treatment.

The patrol also seized approximately one million Captagon pills, about 60 kg of hashish, a military weapon and a hand grenade, and a sum of counterfeit money.

The confiscated items were handed over and investigation with the two detainees commenced under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
