Unidentified individuals forcibly entered the historic St. John Chrysostom Monastery in the village of Koba al-Batroniyeh and damaged its interior by smashing and breaking its contents. The perpetrators also removed and stole the site’s electrical cables.

Security authorities with jurisdiction immediately launched an investigation to identify the suspects and establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
