General Hassan Chqir inaugurated the Rashaya Regional Security Center on August 15, 2026, symbolizing the state's commitment to proximity with citizens. The center will provide administrative services for citizens, Arab and foreign residents, military personnel, and their families.

Issued by the Public Relations Office of the General Directorate of Internal Security:
"On August 15, 2026, General Director of Internal Security Lieutenant General Hassan Chqir inaugurated the Rashaya Regional Internal Security Center (Building of the Late Inspector Major Yahiya Shukr and the Late Inspector Second Tannous Bsharawi), during a ceremony attended by a large gathering of political, security, judicial, religious, and municipal figures, as well as families of the martyrs.
Following the national Lebanese and Internal Security anthems, official ceremonies were held, including introductions and acknowledgments of the martyrs, after which the curtain was lifted from the center’s commemorative plaque bearing the names of the two martyrs.
General Chqir began his speech by welcoming the attendees, emphasizing that the new center is not merely a building for service delivery but reflects the state’s determination to get closer to citizens and respond to their needs. He explained that the center will provide administrative services of the Internal Security for citizens and Arab and foreign residents, streamline their procedures, offer services to military personnel and their families, and strengthen the Directorate’s security presence in the region.
At the end of his speech, the General Director of Internal Security expressed his deepest gratitude to all those who contributed to the completion of this vital center."
