Grand Mufti Abdul Latif Darian met with the Federation of Beirut Families Associations, emphasizing openness and collaborative efforts for Beirut's stability.

Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic Sheikh Abdul Latif Darian received at the Dar al-Fatwa the Federation of Beirut Families Associations headed by Walid Kabbi.
Kabbi said after the meeting: "We were honored to visit His Eminence and informed him of the approach of the elected administrative body regarding the role of the federation, its tasks and priorities in these highly sensitive and delicate circumstances that Lebanon and the region are going through, and the necessity for the federation to be an inclusive entity for all families of Beirut, away from political alignment, while at the same time expressing the pure national conscience of the sons of Beirut and its authentic people, so that our reference is the state of law and institutions, and that the security of Beirut and the stability and reassurance of its people are exclusively the responsibility of the legitimate security forces."
He added: "We also affirmed the diligent pursuit of coordination and integration in efforts and initiatives with various bodies and associations working in educational, health, and social fields... thus working to expand the circle of family associations joining the federation. His Eminence stressed the importance of cooperation, openness, and combined efforts to serve Beirut and its people."
