Delivery Workers Targeted in Mount Lebanon Fraud Case; Suspect Arrested
Lebanese Internal Security Forces arrested a man accused of defrauding delivery workers in Mount Lebanon through social media schemes.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces issued a statement regarding a recent arrest.
As part of ongoing efforts to curb fraud and scams across Lebanon, the Information Branch received reports about an individual conducting fraudulent activities targeting delivery workers in various areas within Mount Lebanon. The perpetrator used social media platforms to carry out these schemes.
The suspect contacted delivery workers, requesting them to deliver items to fictitious recipients. He provided two phone numbers under his control for this purpose. He convinced the workers to pay sums of money under the pretense that the recipients would reimburse them upon receiving the items. After obtaining the requested payments, the suspect disappeared, deactivated his phone line, and blocked the workers' numbers.
The relevant units in the Information Branch initiated field and investigative procedures to identify and apprehend the suspect. Following thorough inquiries and investigations, they identified the individual as:

On 22-06-2026, after careful surveillance, a patrol from the branch arrested him in the Al-Jdeideh area and seized his mobile phone.
During interrogation, he confessed to committing multiple fraud cases via social media targeting delivery service workers in Mount Lebanon.
Legal measures were taken against him, and he was detained along with his phone at the competent authority’s facility, in accordance with judicial instructions.
