Exceptional Traffic Measures in Beirut

The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement:

"Firstly:

A festival commemorating the second anniversary of the martyrdom of former Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine will be held at 16:30 on 27-09-2026, at the Martyrs' Shrine – Bir Hassan (Airport Road).

Therefore, roads leading to the shrine from the Old Airport Road and Ziad Rahbani Highway will be closed, and traffic will be diverted to other roads, starting from 13:00 on the aforementioned date until the end of the festival.

Secondly:

On 27-09-2026, the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Establishment will carry out emergency repair work on a fault in Burj Abu Haider Street, in front of the Civil Defense building, from 8:30 until 12:30.

These works will result in the prohibition of traffic passage at the site of the works and its diversion from the Refaai Intersection – Saeb Salam Boulevard (Corniche El Mazraa) towards Cola, as follows:

Traffic coming from Burj Abu Haider Street: turn right towards Al-Aseer Street, then turn right under the Cola Bridge, then left towards Falafel Al-Zawia, and then left towards Qadmous Street – Cola Roundabout.

Citizens are requested to take note, comply with the directions and guidance of Internal Security Forces elements, and adhere to the traffic signs placed at the location, to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion."
