Finance Minister Yassin Jaber issued two decisions to extend deadlines related to declarations, and the first decision stated:
"The deadline for submitting the first quarter declaration for the year 2026 is extended until 29/05/2026 inclusive, for amounts subject to the tax under Articles 41 and 42 of the Income Tax Law due from income tax payers, public institutions, municipalities, municipal unions, and all public bodies, councils, and funds (J10/T and J10/M), and for paying the tax due thereon."
And in the second decision:
"The deadline for submitting the personal declaration for salaries and wages tax is extended until 30/06/2026 inclusive, for employees and wage earners who work for more than one employer or simultaneously receive a retirement pension or lifelong allocations, and for taxpayers subject to Chapter One tax who simultaneously receive salaries and wages or a retirement pension or lifelong allocations (Form R8) and for paying the tax due thereon for the business year 2025."
The Ministry stated in a communiqué that "these two decisions aim to provide taxpayers with the opportunity to comply with the obligation and avoid the application of penalties."
