Investigations into the case of the explosives shipment intercepted inside a car at the Dahr al-Baydar checkpoint are ongoing. Security forces arrested two members of "Hezbollah" who were in the vehicle and found hundreds of kilograms of highly explosive material known as "C4" in their possession, according to circulating information about the case.

Information from the "MTV" website reported that the shipment originated from Baalbek heading towards Beirut, noting that interrogations with the detainees focus on the destination of the explosives and the entities to whom they were supposed to be delivered.

Information regarding the shipment

According to information relayed by the site, the detainees admitted during interrogation that "Hezbollah" had asked them to deliver the explosives to one of the commanders in the southern suburbs of Beirut (Dahieh).

The information added that the detainees stated that a Hezbollah commander known as "Mr. Sajed" handed them the explosives and requested that they deliver them to another commander.

Information from the "MTV" website noted that security agencies are continuing to investigate the identities of other elements suspected of being linked to the case, in order to determine their roles and arrest them if necessary.

For its part, Al Hadath channel reported that the two Hezbollah elements detained with the explosives shipment belong to the "Al-Lailaki" and "Amhaz" families.

It also added that a Hezbollah leader named "Sajed" handed over the explosives shipment in Baalbek, which was destined for the southern suburbs to be delivered to a person named "Dhulfiqar".

Al Hadath further reported that the explosives confiscated from Hezbollah contained nails and metal balls.

Preliminary data indicated that the arrest of the two elements and the seizure of the explosives shipment took place at the Dahr al-Baydar checkpoint, while the Military Police is investigating the detainees to verify the possibility of other individuals involved in transporting or receiving the shipment.

Investigations remain ongoing to reveal the full path of the explosives and the entity that was set to receive them, and to determine responsibilities based on the results of the investigations and judicial procedures.
