From Syria to Lebanon... Explosives and TNT

The Lebanese Army Command issued the following statement:
On 1/10/2026, as a result of surveillance and monitoring operations along the northern and eastern borders, an army unit seized approximately 245 kg of highly explosive TNT material, 4 explosive devices, and 8 detonators, in addition to electrical wires for detonators, while they were being smuggled from Syrian territory into Lebanon. The smugglers fled towards Syrian territory immediately upon the arrival of an army patrol at the scene.
The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities, and follow-up and coordination are underway to arrest those involved.
