Issued by the Media Affairs Office in the General Directorate of General Security the following statement: "The General Directorate of General Security announces that, within the framework of continuous monitoring and follow-up of suspicious electronic activities, it has been found that there is an account on the "Facebook" website bearing the name "AURORA CONSULTING FIRM" that publishes sponsored advertisements targeting individuals with security and military backgrounds, in addition to those interested in the fields of investigative research and security analysis.

Monitoring has shown that the aforementioned account invites those interested to register via an electronic form to collect personal data and sensitive information, and also includes references to payment mechanisms using digital currencies, and asks applicants to download external files or documents under the pretext of reviewing work details. It has also been found that the page does not contain any actual content or reliable information reflecting the nature of the entity operating it or its real activity.

Therefore, the General Directorate of General Security warns citizens and residents against interacting with this page or responding to the advertisements issued by it or clicking on the links associated with it, due to the risk this may pose to the security of their personal data and the privacy of their information. The Directorate calls for caution and vigilance when dealing with any offers or electronic advertisements of unknown source, and to report any similar activity through official approved channels, in order to preserve digital safety and information security for all".
