Greek Prime Minister Pledges Support for Lebanon's Framework and Army to President Aoun
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reaffirmed his country's backing of Lebanon's framework agreement and military support during a call with President Michel Aoun.

President Michel Aoun received a telephone call from Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, during which they discussed current developments in Lebanon and the region. The conversation focused particularly on efforts to end the war in Lebanon in light of the framework agreement reached through Lebanese-American-Israeli negotiations in Washington.
In this context, Prime Minister Mitsotakis confirmed Greece's support for the framework agreement and for the positions taken by President Aoun and the Lebanese government aimed at extending state sovereignty over all Lebanese territory. He also highlighted Greece's readiness to assist Lebanon in overcoming its difficult phase across various sectors, especially by supporting the Lebanese army. The Greek Prime Minister noted that the Greek Minister of Defense has been tasked with coordinating with his Lebanese counterpart on this matter.
President Aoun expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Mitsotakis for Greece's supportive stance toward Lebanon on multiple levels and praised the longstanding historical relations between Lebanon and Greece.
