Hajjar: We Are Doing Everything Necessary to Ensure Retired Military Personnel Receive Their Benefits
Minister of the Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Hajjar denies claims that a request to transfer funds for retired military education allowances remains pending, stating it was forwarded to the Ministry of Finance on August 12.

Issued from the office of Minister of the Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Hajjar is the following statement:
"One of the retired military personnel stated in a media interview today in the city of Sour that the request to transfer appropriations to cover the educational allowance for retirees is still with the Ministry of the Interior and Municipalities.
The office emphasizes that this statement is entirely incorrect. The aforementioned request was forwarded by the Ministry of the Interior and Municipalities to the Ministry of Finance on August 12 of this year, after having been received from the General Directorate of Internal Security.
Minister Hajjar affirms that the rights of military personnel, including retirees, are of constant concern and attention to him, and that the ministry is doing everything within its authority to ensure they receive their due benefits."
