Army Commander General Rodolphe Hikmat received Egyptian Ambassador Alaa Moussa at his office in Yarze. During the meeting, general conditions and the latest developments in Lebanon and the region were reviewed.
Moussa emphasized "the importance of the role assigned to the army within the framework agreement," praising "its efforts and sacrifices in maintaining stability."
Hikmat also received a delegation of Maronite bishops in the diaspora, comprising Bishops: Antoine Tarabay for Australia, Simon Faddoul for Africa, and Peter Karam for France.
The bishops stressed "the solidarity of Lebanese expatriates with the military institution," commending "the army's sacrifices across the nation," and thanking "the visit of an army delegation with a number of children of fallen soldiers to the Lebanese community in Australia."
In return, Hikmat thanked "the delegation's gracious hosting in Australia," expressing his appreciation for "the efforts of the Maronite bishops in the diaspora," considering that they "represent Lebanon and elevate its standing in different countries around the world."
