Lebanese Internal Security Forces report the discovery of a Syrian couple murdered in Sabra, with their safe stolen. Two suspects have been arrested for aiding the crime.

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
"On 5-5-2026, the bodies of (A. I., born in 1984, Syrian) and his wife (K. H., born in 1987, Syrian) were found inside their home in the Sabra area, shot by two bullets. It was determined that a safe was stolen from the house after the crime was committed.
Immediately, the specialized units of the Information Branch began field and investigative procedures to uncover the circumstances of the crime, identify those involved, and arrest them.
As a result of investigations and inquiries, the branch identified the perpetrators of the crime, including: A. T. (born in 2006, Lebanese) and A. M. (born in 2008, Palestinian).
On dates 26-6-2026 and 26-8-2026, through precise surveillance and follow-up, patrols from the branch managed to arrest them in the southern suburbs, where the second suspect was hiding in a room in one of the hotels, after having moved from Shatila camp due to an incident with another person that resulted in the latter being shot in the mouth.
Upon interrogation, they confessed to what was attributed to them regarding their participation in the surveillance operation during the execution of the crime and the theft of the safe, stating that the actual perpetrators were two other individuals who committed the act at the behest of a drug dealer who had a financial debt owed by the victim.
The detainees and seized items were referred to the relevant unit to take the necessary legal action against them, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judiciary, while work continues to arrest all those involved."
