The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants clarified in a statement that "the circulating news regarding judicial measures against Lebanon's ambassador to the United States of America, Nadia Hamada Mouawad, is inaccurate."

The ministry emphasized that "taking any judicial measure against public employees requires obtaining explicit approval from the competent minister, in accordance with applicable legal procedures."

It also affirmed that "the mission entrusted to Ambassador Mouawad is by delegation from His Excellency the President of the Republic, in agreement with the Prime Minister, and in accordance with relevant constitutional provisions."
