Prime Minister Nouf Salam confirmed during a session of the Parliament that he stands before the council in a "candid statement" to present the country's reality as it is, and what the government has managed to achieve in confronting the challenges it faced.

Salam said: "We have repeatedly warned of the dangers of entering the war engulfing the region, and called for reason and prudent calculation out of compassion for the country and protection of citizens."

He pointed out that "according to the World Bank's assessment, the total cost of the first war reached approximately 14 billion dollars," noting that "the recent war has so far incurred direct costs estimated by the World Bank at between 3 and 4 billion dollars."

Prime Minister Salam emphasized that serious challenges did not prevent the government from fulfilling its duties fully, stressing that "if the difficult living conditions we are experiencing stem from accumulated crises, we will neither surrender to this reality nor ever yield to it, but remain determined to confront it."
