Interior Minister Hajjar Honors General Security Directorate on Anniversary

Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmed Hajjar posted a message on X addressed to the General Security Directorate — its leadership, officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel — marking its anniversary.

Hajjar stated: “To the General Security Directorate, its leadership, officers, non-commissioned officers, and personnel: on your anniversary, we salute your efforts and sacrifices in fulfilling your national duty, and we acknowledge your responsibilities in protecting security, preserving stability, and serving citizens — actions that reflect the state’s presence and authority.”

He added: “On this occasion, we remember the martyrs of the General Security Directorate who gave their lives in the line of duty, and we extend a tribute of gratitude and appreciation to their families, who offered the greatest sacrifices.”

Hajjar concluded: “May every year find you in good health. Our deepest appreciation for your dedication and commitment. We sincerely wish the General Security Directorate continued progress and success, and we wish Lebanon enduring security and stability.”
