Iranian Messages Reach Ain El-Tineh: What Happened in Berri's Meeting?

Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri received Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh and his accompanying delegation at Ain El-Tineh, in the presence of the Chargé d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Lebanon Tawfiq Samadi. The meeting focused on general developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as relations between Lebanon and Iran.

Khatibzadeh said after the meeting: "I brought the best wishes for the Lebanese people and to Lebanon, this great country with which we have historical and friendly ties at various levels."

He added: "This type of exchange of visits between the two countries is the least that can be expected within the framework of bilateral relations, not only to exchange views but also to better enhance coordination between us."
