The Israeli military announced it killed Abu Hassan Ala, a senior commander in Hezbollah's 'Badr' unit, during a strike in Dier al-Zahrani. The operation targeted the militant for his role in orchestrating multiple terrorist plots against Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.

Issued by the Israeli army:
"The Israeli military targeted the Dier al-Zahrani area yesterday, Saturday, and eliminated Abu Hassan Ala, a prominent commander in Hezbollah's 'Badr' unit. In his position, Abu Hassan Ala was involved in advancing numerous terrorist operations against our forces operating in the security zone, including launching explosive drones toward our troops in southern Lebanon. Over recent years, the terrorist led several combat zones within Hezbollah against the Israeli Defense Forces and citizens of the State of Israel.
Abu Hassan Ala was targeted and eliminated in response to a Hezbollah operation carried out against our forces working in the security zone. His elimination deals a blow to the unit’s operational capabilities and adds to the killing of Ali Simeir Al-Haj Hasan, who served as battalion commander in Hezbollah’s 'Ridwan Force' and was eliminated at the command headquarters in Anzar.
The Israeli army will not allow Hezbollah to harm citizens of the State of Israel or its forces, and will continue working to neutralize threats."
